You won’t believe some of these..

Some of these are being built right now.  Ok have you heard of the proposed hyperloop from LA to Norther California? Have you heard about Lenz’s law, frictionless trains and the like? Well this video is for you. It explores some of the most outside the box ideas and concepts in terms of future transportation and what it might look like. Elements such as hydrogen and neodymium magnets, some of the most powerful in the world will likely be a part of any super efficient transportation revolution. This video has some pretty incredible scientific information and diagrams that you won’t want to miss.

As usual, the comments in regards to scientific debates, breakthroughs and theories are very spirited. Here are some of the commenters’ responses after watching the video.

“Could trains replace planes as the long distance transportation of choice?” Maybe, IF THEY COULD GO ACROSS LARGE AMOUNTS OF SEA WITHOUT WASTING BILLIONS ON THOUSAND MILE BRIDGES!!!

Then in the thread commenter Mystikan adds:

Actually, one of the “trains” shown in this video could cross the sea, much more cheaply and efficiently than aircraft. A vehicle similar to the train with wings that flies on the ground-effect, has already been built by the Russians years ago: they call it an ekranoplan, or ground-effect plane (google it). Such a vehicle could skim across the sea like a very low-flying aircraft, come ashore at a designated point, and drop onto the air-guided railway to complete its journey over land.

Here is an artist’s rendition of a city in the future.  It looks a bit like the Jetson’s cartoon but if a hyperloop is built it might look something like this.

It’s always good to see inquiring minds in regards to these types of inventions. What would you want to see in an efficient improvement or advancement in regards to current transportation? A super fast train, a different type of car or something else?
