NASA’s Curiosity rover just released them..

These are gnarly and look like something from a science fiction movie.  The red planet has gotten a lot of press coverage this year.  In addition to the hit movie The Martian, the Curiosity Rover has sent in some incredible and never seen before pics of the surface of Mars. These just came in what do you think?

1. This one looks like the Sahara Desert with many more and smaller dunes

2.  This one looks almost like a Martian X-Ray machine..

3.   Once again a bizarre and beautiful pic that is reminiscent of like a Utah version on Mars

4. This one looks like some sort of alien beach 😉

Curiosity performs the first investigation of active sand dunes on another planet. Studying the Bagnold Dunes on Mars will help scientists understand the physics of Martian dunes and how they move.
