Astronomers Spotted Two Strange Exoplanets Orbiting an Unusual Star

Will they find new evidence?

Exoplanets may hold the most evidence when searching for extraterrestrials.  When we say hold the most, in rephrasing, should actually say be one of the richest areas of search for extraterrestrials.  This has to do with the fact that they are a preselected area of focus as planets semi similar to ours.  There have been a lot of interesting exoplanets in the news lately, the most famous being kepler 452-b.  And now astronomers have discovered two more:

A team of U.S. astronomers has made a surprising discovery using data collected by NASA’s Kepler/K2 mission: a star called WASP-47, a previously known hot Jupiter exoplanet host, also hosts two additional exoplanets – a Neptune-sized outer planet and a super-Earth inner companion.

Do you think we will ever visit one of these exoplanets?  Or sill focusing the S.E.T.I. program on them give us new evidence of alien life?

Let’s find out more about the properties of these exoplanets on page 2
