This strange artifact that was found off of the coast of Greece remains a mystery. What is its function and who made it? Some people are saying it is an astronomical device. Others are saying it is the first computer….Seriously. What do you think? It appears to be nautical in design. Here is a bit more information on this very unusual archaeological find:
A futuristic computer like device from the past known as the Antikythera mechanism or machine has been discovered at the bottom of the ocean and was revealed to be over 2,000 years old. Did aliens or time travelers place it back in time?
The Antikythera machine is an ancient artifact that was found at a shipwreck dated around the time of 100 B.C.
There are some instructions that go along with it…which are in Greek, which suggests that the machine comes from Greece. However, many scientists and archaeologists argue it came from Sicily.
Let’s find out more and see what this device looks like in the video on page 2

Yeah… sensationalist jouralism at its best… This was found ages ago! What’s more, the story suggests aliens! Ugh! Unliking this page and moving on. So disappointed…
Old news…
It was speculated that this was the first complex watch due to the gear placement I had heard they had made a version of it based off scans that had been used on it
It was the subject of an episode of “Nova”. I was used to map phases of the moon, that’s all.
